Snacks, Crafts and Dr. Seuss Story Time!

The Wheelock College Library is organizing events to commemorate Read Across America. Backed by the National Education Association, Read Across America is an awareness campaign intended to promote the importance of reading in the lives of young children. It is held every year on Dr. Seuss birthday—who better to symbolize how fun and exciting reading can be, at any age!

On Tuesday, March 2nd, join us in the Campus Center for our morning events:

  • 9am: Help us make paper Cat in the Hat hats that will be worn by the children participating in our Dr. Seuss story time. Cookies and coffee will be available.
  • 10am: Children from the Masco daycare program will be on campus for story time. We are asking for volunteers to read a Dr. Seuss book to a small group of these children. Books will be provided by the Library, but feel free to bring your own favorite! Children who do not attend the Masco daycare program are also welcome at this event.
If you're still looking for more Seuss-themed fun, head over to the Dining Hall for some special menu items inspired by Dr. Seuss' stories, and participate in a round of Dr. Seuss trivia!
